190 Satpol PP Personnel Deployed to Secure Jakarta Anniversary Celebration

A total of 190 Public Order (Satpol PP) personnel will be deployed to secure the grand celebration of Jakarta's 499th anniversary at Bundaran HI area on Saturday (6/27).

Jakarta Satpol PP Head Satriadi Gunawan said the personnel have been assigned to maintain public order and ensure the celebration proceeds safely and smoothly.

"The deployed personnel come from the provincial Satpol PP and all five administrative cities," he said.

Satriadi noted that security operations will be carried out from 2 PM to 8 PM, with personnel deployed at key locations throughout the venue.

"Personnel will be concentrated around the main stage, the VIP grandstand, and other key points around Bundaran HI," he said.

He added that personnel will also be deployed at pedestrian crossings to anticipate traffic congestion and manage crowd movement.

"Pedestrian crossings in front of the Grand Hyatt, Hotel Pullman, Jalan Sumenep, as well as busy intersections such as the Bawaslu traffic light, Sarinah traffic light, Jalan Sunda, Jalan Sutan Syahrir, and Jalan Imam Bonjol will all be monitored," he highlighted.

He encouraged residents attending the celebration to cooperate with on-duty personnel to help ensure the event remains safe and orderly.

"We also urge visitors to help keep the Bundaran HI area clean for the comfort and convenience of everyone attending the celebration," Satriadi said.
